I have been meaning to get on here for the last few weeks and let me tell you, suddenly I am busy. That is a good thing. Being unbusy was starting to depress me. There is only so much baking and laundry a woman can do to keep her occupied. I have been fervently praying that after grandpa passed away opportunities for me to sub (or even teach) would come open. The day after we got back from Montgomery was sub training and since then (PRAISE GOD) I have been subbing like crazy. I am LOVING the little ones. They are so much fun and my heart is really leaning towards teaching them. I can take the test for EC-4 at the end of May, so pray that if this is the Lord's desire that I would follow Him and all would go as He wants. I know the high school kids need good teachers too, but I am not sure if they are for me anymore. I get too close to them; build good relationships as friends and I do not ever want to be put into a compromising position because of that. I am searching and praying for the district that the Lord wants for me, so if you do not mind, can you join me in that prayer?
Tonight starts FAITH. CR and I are super excited, yet at the same time very nervous. This is out of both of our comfort zones, but as Christians that is what we have to do in order to grow. The holy spirit will be wherever we are going before we get there; He is just going to use us to do His work. Pray that we would be dilegent, purposeful, and Christlike not only on our visits but in our everyday lives.
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 2:5 NIV)
Katherine's twins are coming right along. Last visit they were 4 pounds each! In little ol' Kath. Pray for her continued strength. Her and Jody are such great witnessess to us all on how to be faithful and how to always rely on God's promises and strengths. They have scheduled a C-section for March 10th, if the boys don't come before then!
Lastly, I just love the friends that I have made here in South Texas. I fought it for so long, but the Lord has blessed CR and I both with amazing friends and family so close by. I thank Him for each and everyone He has brought into our lives and look forward to how those relationships are going to grow. Brooke and Ray ... ski slopes next Christmas!!
These 2 are getting hitched in 4 months! Bethany will always be my best friend, no matter how many miles we are apart. :)
"As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Proverbs 27:17 NLT
Kyleigh and I hanging out at mom's office and showing off our matching boots. Silly Kyleigh thinks she has to do a silly face in every picture these days ... she is growing into quite a young lady, even though it is hard to tell with that meany face. We talk on the phone often and she is loving living with Grammy and Paw now. If only I had a jet plane ...
