This is the dining room area, that goes into the living room. The sheet rock caved in from wall to wall just about. Praise God they were not in the room when that decided to come down.
A tree went through my sister's old bedroom window. The tree is still there on the deck. Maybe they are saving it for fire wood.
My old room. This is where the sheet rock first came down. They have gone in and torn up the carpet already.
Window breaking tree. Blah!
More of my ceiling.
Almost more astonishing to me than all this was how much debris was still around. As I took my long awaited run through my old roads that I enjoyed running so much before, my heart was saddened. Koda and I ran through Walden, and much of my old beaten path was not the same. Trees were missing from where they were before; some were just in different places. I passed a yard with an elderly woman outside picking up limbs. I shouted, "out and about early cleaning up?" She quietly said back, "Every morning I do just a little bit. Before too long I imagine I can get it all." We do need to be ever so thankful that Ike did not harm anyone in it's wake through Walden. Yes materials were ruined, memories were made and lessons were learned, but lives were spared. Thank the Lord for that.
We also were so glad to finally to make it to Sweet Home College Station! Tonight I am way too exhausted to detail about all of what that entails, so images and stories to come soon!

I had NO IDEA your parent's house had so much damage. Your mom hasn't said a thing at school! I hope you had a wonderful weekend otherwise and that your time in College Stn. was enjoyable! Hope we can visit soon! Have a fabulous day tomorrow!!!
