Since we are having a drought, farmers will plant just for insurance purposes. You don't make money; you basically just break even. We waited it out until as late as possible to plant for this purpose, just incase it decided to open up and pour out of the skies. Well it didn't, so we planted. We planted grain and corn. On one piece of our land we planted cotton. Just enough because apparently on that piece of property the cotton insurance is better than the other. Confusing if you ask me. Anyhow, we no longer have a picker or any equipment for cotton. It was going to die anyhow so we did not care. Well when it rained the other day, that property got 6/10" and the other property that has corn and grain that we WANT to grow, got 1/10". Gotta love it! No matter what, I will PRAISE HIM in our storm; our lack there of.

Mom and dad came to visit for Easter. It was wonderful to see them again ... it had been too long! Kods Blu enjoyed some great pampering by her Grammy, too!
