How often have we heard that saying? My favorite version of it is, "Your actions are screaming so loudly that I can not make out the words you are saying". Of course, because I am a Patrick now and Patrick's like to exagerate. So the exagerated version is my favorite.
I have been trying to practice bitting my tongue when something sarcastic comes to mind or when I feel like what I may say would be taken the wrong way. Well this morning I did that and CR thought something was wrong. There was something on my mind but nothing to bring up or worth having a tussy about, so I just tried my hardest to keep working on what I was doing and go on about my business. I would take care of the thing that he didn't that made me a little irritated. He got kind of huffy and concerned but did not say anything and went on to work. He came back about 30 minutes later and asked if we needed to talk about something. He sensed that I was aggitated by something and I needed to just say it so he could fix it. Ha! I think that me trying so hard NOT to say something had me ACTING in a way that was not typical. So even when you are not trying to say something, your body language and actions will tell the whole story!
"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29 NASB).
