Mother's Day Weekend

What a JOYOUS weekend we had with family. CR and I were blessed to finally go to Montgomery for a few days. The weather and the visit was beautiful. Friday night we got to run around and play for a little while after dinner. In the picture above, Kyleigh told me she was pretending that she was looking into her future. What an imagination she has! Kyleigh and Goldie running on the golfcourse by the lake. She is super fast!
She ended up getting tackled.
This weekend was also my best friend Bethany's bridal shower. It turned out very nicely. Most everyone got to come and she was given some great gifts to help her cook! She got some really yummy sounding recipes that I will be borrowing as well. Congrats Beth ... only a month and a half to go!
It was great reuniting with the girls! We have some fun memories from our high school days.
It was great to catch up with Devin, who just graduated from Dental school. Yay Dev! She is moving to Dallas and exciting about beginning her dental career.

Sisters! Angela is doing well, loves being a vet and enjoys Katy. Soon, Bethany and Kevin will be living right around the corner from her and David.

What love looks like after a year and a half of marriage :) Love you Cecil.

So, sometime during Saturday night, Koda got bit by something. We woke up Sunday morning and she would not walk on her left foot. We tried to move it around, but that did not help. We knew it was not broken though, so we put her in her kennel and went on to church. When we got back from church, her poor knee joint was swollen three times its normal size. So off to the emergency vet we go. 4 x-rays, 3 shots and one cast later, this is what we get. The vet thinks it was a snake bite. How in the world? She was with us always. We set her in the grass to go potty, but that is it, and we would have seen a snake bite her. She never yelped or anything. Dad thinks it was a spider or a scorpion; CR suggested a bug of some sort. Lauren did not even try to guess because she knows she has no clue. Poor hop-a-long!Can you tell we are sisters? It was so great to finally catch up with E. She was there this weekend so we got to spend some time together; not enough, but atleast some. She is busy helping Debbie with her campaign and also getting her Hunters for Kids benefit organized. If anyone is interested in attending (gonna be lotsa fun) and/or donating something for the silent auction, let me know and I will pass the word on to Elizabeth.

"Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." Proverbs 31: 25-28 Oh how her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren love her. We all rise up and call her blessed. And grandpa did too.
