1. A new session started for my Masters program. I usually take one class at a time, but to get finished quicker I decided to take two this time around. That would lend to the reasoning behind no blog time. Now I write 2, 2000 word papers a week. :) I did find out I will be finished this summer though, so whoop to that!
2. School got off to a great start back. My sophomores are finished with their research papers over the Holocaust and we are reading Night. I contacted The Holocaust Musuem in Houston and I am working on getting a survivor to come speak to them in March. I am super excited!! The freshemn are reading Romeo and Juliet, and this set of kiddos is actually seeing the resemblence in their lives. Finally, it is breaking through!
3. Mom, dad, Kyleigh, and E are back in the house in Montgomery. They still have a few items left with the floor dudes, but for the main part, they have their house back. I know mom is relieved!
4. Grandma broke her knee cap when she fell a few weeks ago. Please pray for a quick recovery, but more importantly for her spirits. She feels that she has just had a lot of "bad luck" lately. I know she missed grandpa, and being a gimp right now does not help.
5. Koda is growing! I think she weighs about 70 pounds now. She came into heat last week, so we are a step closer to breeding her. (A year or so be looking for some pups!!)
6. Gentry is having a beautiful baby girl ... Juliette Bill will be her name and I am so excited for Gentry and Jamie. They are a beautiful couple that has been together since high school. They are lobsters ... hooked to the love of their life, for life.
7. CR burned his hand the other day while cutting down a metal building. I thought that I needed to take him to the ER, but instead we called a doctor friend of ours. He has a mix of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th degree burns, but the 4th degree is just in a small spot so he will be ok. We just have to make sure we keep it free from dirt, which would lead to infections. I would post pictures, but you really do not want to see them.
8. I am still loving life in Bishop. I really miss Montgomery, especially now on these long sessions when I can't visit for months at a time. Spring break is not too long off, and I will get some good quality time with family and my best girl Bethany!
9. Rob and Meg's precious baby girl Eva is growing fast. Check out the pictures below.
10. I bought a sewing machine with Christmas money and want to become an awesome sewer.
11. I need to get time to really enjoy my awesome camera and explore what it can do. I really have a passion for photography, so maybe after classes are over I will have time to enjoy and share that more.
That tis all for now ... peace out!
